The seven seals in Revelation
Prophecy act as ripples in water, though the inner ripples have less radius, they are stronger than the outer ripples. Seal one to four were unsealed in past times, and at this end of age, they will be re-unsealed again. Their events will happen over a short period of time but with a much greater magnitude than before. In this age, the events will happen in man’s time, that is 3.5 years representing just that, 3.5 years . In the past, prophecies of seal 1 to seal 4 happened in God’s time, a 1000 years representing a day.
Seal 5 talks of the first harvest to the Lord from among the Israelites, the 144, 000 sealed saints in the book of Revelations. These saints who were gathered during the first church persecution are waiting for the harvest of the gentiles through the great persecution at the end of this age.
Seal six represents events that will have an intensity to warn mankind of the time of wrath that is coming upon the earth. God’s wrath will be poured upon all mankind, the elements of the earth will melt and the earth will sway like a drunkard or a reed in the wind.
Note, the seals run until the war of Armageddon from the time they are opened. They do not stop because of subsequent seals. Example, Seal one will run until the end as Jesus Christ remains conquer before and during the great persecution, giving strength and courage to those who will lose their lives for believing in Him, strengthening Israel in acknowledging Him as the Messiah and standing with those who remain to see Him come in the clouds in His Glory. Wars, famine and death will also continue until the end.
It is also worth noting, the seals and trumpets do not happen in sequence as recorded example; at the end of this age, the events of seal two, three and four will happen after seal six has been unsealed to release a time of wrath like never before on earth. This wrath will be God’s vengeance for the sins the inhabitants of the Earth have committed and will affect the elements of the earth shaking it to the very core.
This post explains the seals and what they mean. The events of the seals are expounded in other posts. Read through all the articles and view the presentation attached on YouTube for a full understanding of the end time prophecies
Seal 1: Jesus Christ is The Conqueror on a white horse
Revelation 6 I watched as the Lamb opened the first of the seven seals. Then I heard one of the four living creatures say in a voice like thunder, “Come!” 2 I looked, and there before me was a white horse! Its rider held a bow, and he was given a crown, and he rode out as a conqueror bent on conquest.
Revelations 19 11 I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and wages war. 12 His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself. 13 He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. 14 The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. 15 Coming out of his mouth is a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. “He will rule them with an iron scepter.” He treads the wine press of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. 16 On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: King of kings and Lord of lords.
The first seal is of Jesus Christ as the white horseman going out as conqueror. Jesus Christ is about to match out in Victory preparing the church for His second coming. The main event in the first seal is the revelation of the sons of God or the nation that will make Israel envious. It will be followed by world wide peace before the second seal
Seal 2.The anti-Christ is the rider on the red horse who will take peace from the earth
Revelation 6: 3- 4 3 When the Lamb opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, “Come!” 4 Then another horse came out, a fiery red one. Its rider was given power to take peace from the earth and to make people kill each other. To him was given a large sword.
And so it will be as written: 1Thessalonians 5 2 for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. 3 While people are saying, “Peace and safety,” destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.
Daniel 8 9 Out of one of them came another horn, which started small but grew in power to the south and to the east and toward the Beautiful Land. 10 It grew until it reached the host of the heavens, and it threw some of the starry host down to the earth and trampled on them.11 It set itself up to be as great as the commander of the army of the Lord; it took away the daily sacrifice from the Lord, and his sanctuary was thrown down. 12 Because of rebellion, the Lord’s people and the daily sacrifice were given over to it. It prospered in everything it did, and truth was thrown to the ground.
24 He will become very strong, but not by his own power. He will cause astounding devastation and will succeed in whatever he does. He will destroy those who are mighty, the holy people. 25 … When they feel secure, he will destroy many and take his stand against the Prince of princes. Yet he will be destroyed, but not by human power.
The world peace treaty will not last, God has allowed as a means through which the anti-Christ and ten others to rise to power. One year after the peace treaty is signed, it will be broken by the anti-Christ or the red horseman ushering in the time of wrath upon the earth as it is written;
Isaiah 33:7-8.1,4 7Look, their brave men cry aloud in the streets; the envoys of peace weep bitterly. 8 The highways are deserted; no travelers are on the roads. The treaty is broken, its witnesses are despised, no one is respected 1Woe to you, destroyer, you who have not been destroyed! Woe to you, betrayer, you who have not been betrayed! When you stop destroying, you will be destroyed; when you stop betraying, you will be betrayed. 4 Your plunder, O nations, is harvested as by young locusts; like a swarm of locusts people pounce on it.
Third seal: Famine and plague the third Horse
Revelation 6:5-5 When the Lamb opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, “Come!” I looked, and there before me was a black horse! Its rider was holding a pair of scales in his hand. 6 Then I heard what sounded like a voice among the four living creatures, saying, “Two pounds of wheat for a day’s wages, and six pounds of barley for a day’s wages, and do not damage the oil and the wine!”
Lamentations 4:10-1110 With their own hands compassionate women have cooked their own children, who became their food when my people were destroyed. 11 The Lord has given full vent to his wrath; he has poured out his fierce anger. He kindled a fire in Zion that consumed her foundations
Note that, in the time of Wrath (God’s vengeance upon the earth, gold and silver will be useless and will not be used to trade. The destruction of property will cause many into destitution and thus increasing diseases sickness poverty and famine.
Zephaniah 1: 18 Neither their silver nor their gold will be able to save them
on the day of the Lord’s wrath.” In the fire of his jealousy
the whole earth will be consumed, for he will make a sudden end
of all who live on the earth. 11Wail, you who live in the market district.
all your merchants will be wiped out, all who trade with silver will be destroyed.
12 At that time I will search Jerusalem with lamps and punish those who are complacent, who are like wine left on its dregs who think, ‘The Lord will do nothing,
either good or bad.’ 13 Their wealth will be plundered, their houses demolished.
Though they build houses, they will not live in them; though they plant vineyards,
they will not drink the wine.”
Jeremiah 4 27 This is what the Lord says: “The whole land will be ruined,
though I will not destroy it completely. 28 Therefore the earth will mourn
and the heavens above grow dark, because I have spoken and will not relent,
I have decided and will not turn back.”
Fourth seal Death and Hades the 4th horse
Revelation 6 7 When the Lamb opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, “Come!” 8 I looked, and there before me was a pale horse! Its rider was named Death, and Hades was following close behind him. They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine and plague, and by the wild beasts of the earth.
Zephaniah 1: “I will sweep away everything from the face of the earth,” declares the Lord. 3 “I will sweep away both man and beast; I will sweep away the birds in the sky and the fish in the sea and the idols that cause the wicked to stumble.” “When I destroy all mankind on the face of the earth,” declares the Lord, 17 “I will bring such distress on all people that they will grope about like those who are blind, because they have sinned against the Lord. Their blood will be poured out like dust and their entrails like dung.
Jeremiah 25:31,33 31 The tumult will resound to the ends of the earth, for the Lord will bring charges against the nations; he will bring judgment on all mankind and put the wicked to the sword,’” declares the Lord. 33 At that time those slain by the Lord will be everywhere—from one end of the earth to the other. They will not be mourned or gathered up or buried, but will be like dung lying on the ground.
Isaiah 34:1-3 Come near, you nations, and listen; pay attention, you peoples!
Let the earth hear, and all that is in it, the world, and all that comes out of it!
2 The Lord is angry with all nations; his wrath is on all their armies.
He will totally destroy them, he will give them over to slaughter.
3 Their slain will be thrown out, their dead bodies will stink;
the mountains will be soaked with their blood
5th seal: Israel’s first fruits to the Lord, the 144000 sealed
Revelation 6: 9 When he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God and the testimony they had maintained. 10 They called out in a loud voice, “How long, Sovereign Lord, holy and true, until you judge the inhabitants of the earth and avenge our blood?” 11 Then each of them was given a white robe, and they were told to wait a little longer, until the full number of their fellow servants, their brothers and sisters, were killed just as they had been.
Revelation 14: Then I looked, and there before me was the Lamb, standing on Mount Zion, and with him 144,000 who had his name and his Father’s name written on their foreheads. 2 And I heard a sound from heaven like the roar of rushing waters and like a loud peal of thunder. The sound I heard was like that of harpists playing their harps. 3 And they sang a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders. No one could learn the song except the 144,000 who had been redeemed from the earth. 4 These are those who did not defile themselves with women, for they remained virgins. They follow the Lamb wherever he goes. They were purchased from among mankind and offered as first fruits to God and the Lamb. 5 No lie was found in their mouths; they are blameless.
These 144000 already sealed ask, Revelation 6:10 “How long, Sovereign Lord, holy and true, until you judge the inhabitants of the earth and avenge our blood?” 11 Then each of them was given a white robe, and they were told to wait a little longer, until the full number of their fellow servants, their brothers and sisters, were killed just as they had been.
Those that they wait for: The gentiles who will be persecuted through the great tribulation. The great tribulation is the end of age harvest of the earth. Note that, The great persecution will come before the rupture of the church. Those remaining after the great persecution will be caught up in the air with Jesus Christ and other saints at the second coming.
Keep in mind, the church will go through the great tribulation. The great tribulation is not necessarily a bad thing, its the process through which the saints are harvested to God. Those who will be ruptured will caught up to Jesus along with others.. Jesus Will come at the war of Armageddon and not before that, therefore keep in mind, the rupture of the remaining saints will be at His Coming after the great tribulation. Therefore, the church will go through Tribulation, if you are lucky and are left alive to go through the hardship for your faith then you will see Christ at HIS COMING at the war of Armageddon. If you are lucky to have your head cut off for your faith, you will join the rest of the saints in heavenly worship before you are raised to life at His coming, as it is written;
1 Thessalonians 4:15 According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. 18 Therefore encourage one another with these words.
Harvest of the saints through the great persecution
Revelation 14:13 13 Then I heard a voice from heaven say, “Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them.”
And so the saints Revelations 12:11-12 .. conquered him (satan) by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much
as to shrink from death. 12 Therefore rejoice, you heavens and you who dwell in them!
Revelation 14:14-16 14 I looked, and there before me was a white cloud, and seated on the cloud was one like a son of man with a crown of gold on his head and a sharp sickle in his hand. 15 Then another angel came out of the temple and called in a loud voice to him who was sitting on the cloud, “Take your sickle and reap, because the time to reap has come, for the harvest of the earth is ripe.” 16 So he who was seated on the cloud swung his sickle over the earth, and the earth was harvested.
After the great tribulation; the Great Multitude in White Robes
Revelation 7 9 After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. 10 And they cried out in a loud voice:
“Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.”
11 All the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures. They fell down on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, 12 saying:
Praise and glory and wisdom and thanks and honor and power and strength
be to our God for ever and ever.
13 Then one of the elders asked me, “These in white robes—who are they, and where did they come from?” 14 I answered, “Sir, you know.”
And he said, “These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
Seal 6 representing the Time of wrath events
The sixth seal represents events that will happen at the time of wrath and thus, the sixth seal will be unsealed just before the second seal is re-unsealed. the second seal will quickly be followed by the second and third seal.
Revelation 6 12 I watched as he opened the sixth seal. There was a great earthquake. The sun turned black like sackcloth made of goat hair, the whole moon turned blood red, 13 and the stars in the sky fell to earth, as figs drop from a fig tree when shaken by a strong wind.14 The heavens receded like a scroll being rolled up, and every mountain and island was removed from its place.
15 Then the kings of the earth, the princes, the generals, the rich, the mighty, and everyone else, both slave and free, hid in caves and among the rocks of the mountains. 16 They called to the mountains and the rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! 17 For the great day of their wrath has come, and who can withstand it?
Luke 21 7 “Teacher,” they asked, “when will these things happen? And what will be the sign that they are about to take place?”
8 He replied: “Watch out that you are not deceived. For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am he,’ and, ‘The time is near.’ Do not follow them. 9 When you hear of wars and uprisings, do not be frightened. These things must happen first, but the end will not come right away.”
10 Then he said to them: “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. 11 There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven.
12 “But before all this, they will seize you and persecute you. They will hand you over to synagogues and put you in prison, and you will be brought before kings and governors, and all on account of my name. 13 And so you will bear testimony to me. 14 But make up your mind not to worry beforehand how you will defend yourselves. 15 For I will give you words and wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to resist or contradict. 16 You will be betrayed even by parents, brothers and sisters, relatives and friends, and they will put some of you to death. 17 Everyone will hate you because of me.18 But not a hair of your head will perish. 19 Stand firm, and you will win life.
20 “When you see Jerusalem being surrounded by armies, you will know that its desolation is near. 21 Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those in the city get out, and let those in the country not enter the city. 22 For this is the time of punishment in fulfillment of all that has been written. 23 How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! There will be great distress in the land and wrath against this people. 24 They will fall by the sword and will be taken as prisoners to all the nations. Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.
25 “There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea. 26 People will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken. 27 At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28 When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.
Isaiah 13:9-13 See, the day of the Lord is coming a cruel day, with wrath and fierce anger to make the land desolate and destroy the sinners within it. 10 The stars of heaven and their constellations will not show their light. The rising sun will be darkened and the moon will not give its light.11 I will punish the world for its evil, the wicked for their sins. I will put an end to the arrogance of the haughty and will humble the pride of the ruthless.12 I will make people scarcer than pure gold, more rare than the gold of Ophir. 13 Therefore I will make the heavens tremble; and the earth will shake from its place at the wrath of the Lord Almighty, in the day of his burning anger.
The Seventh Seal and the Golden Censer
Revelation 8 When he opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour. 2 And I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and seven trumpets were given to them.
3 Another angel, who had a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense to offer, with the prayers of all God’s people, on the golden altar in front of the throne. 4 The smoke of the incense, together with the prayers of God’s people, went up before God from the angel’s hand. 5 Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and hurled it on the earth; and there came peals of thunder, rumblings, flashes of lightning and an earthquake.
The seventh seal mark the end of sealing and the start of the last warnings through the sounding of the trumpets. Trumpet 1 to four are sounded after the 7th seal to warn of the coming doom, while trumpet 5, 6 and 7 mark the intense events that will happen at the time of wrath.
