Part 2:The nation that was chosen to make Israel envious

 The nation that was chosen to make Israel envious and bring back the Israelites to God.

Who are the people of Zion

In part 1 of the ‘The nation that would make Israel envious’, we looked at how the nation of Israel was rejected temporarily and a new nation was chosen to fulfill the prophecy that was spoken through Moses. Mount Zion is the spiritual name of that nation that was chosen. It is important to note that Zion represents the church as a whole, however, Zion is also a physical place for the redeemed that is about to be revealed at the start of the events in the 1st seal. It is the physical place of the church chosen to be a sanctuary for the saints before the time of wrath and the second coming of Jesus Christ.  Mount Zion was chosen to bring back Israel to God and as the dwelling place of the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

So, Who are the people of Zion?

At the end of this age, before the time of wrath, all the gentile believers will be called to the physical place of Zion to mark the fullness of the gentile believers as it is written;

Isaiah 49 16 See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are ever before me. 17 Your children hasten back, and those who laid you waste depart from you. 18 Lift up your eyes and look around; all your children gather and come to you. As surely as I live,” declares the Lord “you will wear them all as ornaments;  you will put them on, like a bride.

Jeremiah 50 “Flee out of Babylon;  leave the land of the Babylonians,
and be like the goats that lead the flock. 28 Listen to the fugitives and refugees from Babylon  declaring in Zion how the Lord our God has taken vengeance, vengeance for his temple.

Jeremiah 51 “Flee from Babylon! Run for your lives!
Do not be destroyed because of her sins. It is time for the Lord’s vengeance;
he will repay her what she deserves. 45 “Come out of her, my people!
Run for your lives! Run from the fierce anger of the Lord.
46 Do not lose heart or be afraid when rumors are heard in the land;
one rumor comes this year, another the next, rumors of violence in the land
and of ruler against ruler. 10 “‘The Lord has vindicated us;
come, let us tell in Zion what the Lord our God has done.’

Paul wrote about that time when the saints shall come to Zion;
Hebrews 12 22 you have come to Mount Zion, to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem. You have come to thousands upon thousands of angels in joyful assembly, 23 to the church of the firstborn, whose names are written in heaven. You have come to God, the Judge of all, to the spirits of the righteous made perfect,24 to Jesus the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel.

The people of Zion.

The people of the physical place of Zion belonged to God in the past before Jesus Christ came in flesh to Earth to save mankind on the cross, this is confirmed through the scriptures as it was spoken through the prayers of the people of Zion
 Psalms 74 O God, why have you rejected us forever?
Why does your anger smolder against the sheep of your pasture?
Remember the nation you purchased long ago,
the people of your inheritance, whom you redeemed—
Mount Zion, where you dwelt.
Turn your steps toward these everlasting ruins,
all this destruction the enemy has brought on the sanctuary.
Your foes roared in the place where you met with us;
they set up their standards as signs.
They behaved like men wielding axes to cut through a thicket of trees.
They smashed all the carved paneling with their axes and hatchets.
They burned your sanctuary to the ground; they defiled the dwelling place of your Name  Isaiah 63 15 Look down from heaven and see, from your lofty throne, holy and glorious.Where are your zeal and your might? Your tenderness and compassion are withheld from us.
16 But you are our Father, though Abraham does not know us
or Israel acknowledge us; you, Lord, are our Father,
our Redeemer from of old is your name.
17 Why, Lord, do you make us wander from your ways
and harden our hearts so we do not revere you?
Return for the sake of your servants, the tribes that are your inheritance.
18 For a little while your people possessed your holy place,
but now our enemies have trampled down your sanctuary.
19 We are yours from of old; but you have not ruled over them,
they have not been called by your name.

The Lord had hardened the hearts of the children of Israel until the appointed time, He Chose Zion and the  the House of Judah,
Psalms 78 67 Then he rejected the tents of Joseph, he did not choose the tribe of Ephraim;
68 but he chose the tribe of Judah,  Mount Zion, which he loved.
69 He built his sanctuary like the heights, like the earth that he established forever
The choosing of Zion happened when Israel was abandoned until an appointed time. The Lord put Jesus Christ the foundation stone in Zion  making Zion the dwelling place of the Name of The Lord, The Name Jesus Christ as it is written;
 Isaiah 28:16, 16 So this is what the Sovereign Lord says:
“See, I lay a stone in Zion, a tested stone,
a precious cornerstone for a sure foundation;
the one who relies on it  will never be stricken with panic
It had pleased The Lord that the Salvation of Israel would come from Zion, and so, Zion was also chosen to bring Israel back to The Lord.
Psalms 14 Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion!
    When the Lord restores his people,
    let Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad!
And thus,  Jesus Christ was born as a Jew,  so that salvation is from the Jews, but He was purposed to  be a light of Revelation for the gentiles, and  that Light would bring salvation so that the salvation of Israel can come from Zion
John 4 22 …for salvation is from the Jews. 23 Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. 24 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.”
Being filled by the Holy Spirit, Simeon spoke of Jesus Christ being a light for the gentiles and a salvation prepared for all nations.
Luke 2 25 Now there was a man in Jerusalem called Simeon, who was righteous and devout.  27 Moved by the Spirit, he went into the temple courts. When the parents brought in the child Jesus to do for him what the custom of the Law required, 28 Simeon took him in his arms and praised God, saying:
29 “Sovereign Lord, as you have promised,you may now dismiss your servant in peace.
30 For my eyes have seen your salvation,31 which you have prepared in the sight of all nations:
32 a light for revelation to the Gentiles,and the glory of your people Israel.”
Which is the Physical place of Mount Zion?
The prophecies in the Bible do not give enough evidence to indicate a particular nation as the physical place of Zion. However, from personal Revelation, I know East Africa is the physical place of Zion. Since this articles are based on Biblical prove, I will not use this personal revelation or those of others who have received Revelations concerning the future of East Africa.

Having said that, The prophecies of Zephaniah 3:10 point to East Africa. It is important to acknowledge that theology students may feel different about the prophecies of Zephaniah 3:10, but then this is not about theology, but a study of Bible prophecy.

 Zephaniah 3 “Then I will purify the lips of the peoples, that all of them may call on the name of the Lord and serve him shoulder to shoulder.
10 From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia my worshipers, my scattered people, will bring me offerings.11 On that day you, Jerusalem, will not be put to shame for all the wrongs you have done to me, because I will remove from you your arrogant boasters.
Never again will you be haughty on my holy hill.

Zephaniah 3:9-11 talks of:
Vs 9 The unity of God’s people and the purification of God’s people
Vs 9 all will call on The Name of The Lord and serve Him in unity
Vs 10 From beyond Ethiopia God has His scattered people who worship Him
Vs 10 From beyond the river’s of Ethiopia,points to E. Africa. (From Israel, beyond the Rivers of Ethiopia is East Africa)
Vs 10 Those people, from Beyond Ethiopia will bring God offerings in Jerusalem
Vs 11 On that day, Jerusalem will not be ashamed for all the sins committed because;
Vs 11 God will remove all the arrogant boasters, never again will there be proud people in Jerusalem

It shall be as the Lord has planned, the beauty of this prophecy is that it will happen for all to see in the years to come.  Be keen on all the changes that are happening in different nations and especially in East Africa.

Indeed the Lord of heaven knows all nations and has determined their times, As it is written;
Acts 17 24 “The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands. 25 And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else. 26 From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. 27 God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us.

29 “Therefore since we are God’s offspring, we should not think that the divine being is like gold or silver or stone—an image made by human design and skill. 30 In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent.31 For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed.

And so from the East give glory and honor to the Most High God who is doing a great thing for all His people

Isaiah 45:4-6 4 For the sake of Jacob my servant, of Israel my chosen,
I summon you by name and bestow on you a title of honor,
though you do not acknowledge me. 5 I am the LORD, and there is no other;
apart from me there is no God. I will strengthen you, though you have not acknowledged me,
6 so that from the rising of the sun to the place of its setting
people may know there is none besides me. I am the LORD, and there is no other.
Malachi 1:11 My name will be great among the nations, from where the sun rises to where it sets. In every place incense and pure offerings will be brought to me, because my name will be great among the nations,” says the LORD Almighty.

The choosing of East Africa as a people and place of the redeemed will fulfill what was spoken;
1 Corinthians 1  27 ..God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. 28 God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, 29 so that no one may boast before him. 30 It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. 31 Therefore, as it is written: “Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord.”
Ephesians 2: 1Consequently, [we]  are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household,20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. 21 In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord.22 And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.
Then it will be said;
Psalm 118 22The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone;
23 the Lord has done this,  and it is marvelous in our eyes.
24 The Lord has done it this very day; let us rejoice today and be glad.
Ephesians 1:4-12He chose us in Him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in His sight. In love He predestined us for adoption to son-ship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with His pleasure and will  to the praise of His glorious grace, which He has freely given us in the One he loves. In him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that he lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding,
 11 In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of Him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of His will, 12 in order that we, who were the first to put our hope in Christ, might be for the praise of His glory.

At the end of this age, the physical place of Zion will be revealed.  When this happens, creation will be liberated and Zion will be turned into the Garden of Eden. At that time the Lord will fill Zion with justice and righteousness as He pours the Latter rains upon the Church.

Psalms 48 2 Beautiful in its loftiness, the joy of the whole earth,
like the heights of Zaphon is Mount Zion, the city of the Great King.
God is in her citadels;  he has shown himself to be her fortress.

Amen and Amen, May it be according to Your Word, The Eternal and Merciful God
